Kindle Fire Reset

Similar to computers and laptops, there are instances that may warrant you to do a Kindle Fire reset. Either your tablet’s operation hangs/freezes or the screen might not turn-on at all.

The need to reset your tablet is similar in principle as to how you would force reboot or restart your computer. This refreshes the tablet’s operating system, halts all the ongoing processes, and basically restarts the operation a new.

There are few instances that may suggest the need for you to reset your Kindle Fire tablet. And these include the following:

The ongoing operation or application used suddenly freezes.

The most common instance that will require you to perform a Kindle Fire reset is when your Kindle tablet eventually hangs or freezes during operation. There are several factors which can be attributed to this. First is when there are several simultaneous processes or operations going on with the tablet.

Since your tablet is not built to operate in the same manner as desktop and laptop computers, a huge computing or processing load could eventually cause it to take time to respond and eventually freeze. The next reason for this glitch could be the age of your Kindle Fire tablet. It might already been old or perhaps, still new but has been constantly and extensively used making it susceptible to breakdowns.

A great app to use is Super Task Killer it will help shutdown all running apps. It helps free up memory and save battery power.

When the Internet connection suddenly hangs-up.

Another instance that may suggest the need for Kindle Fire reset is when the tablet’s operation hangs-up while you are browsing through the internet. Internet data is usually transferred to and from the tablet. And if you are browsing through the “heavy” internet websites which has too much data, pictures, or video, your tablet could have a problem processing all of these. Another culprit is when the internet connection is too slow.

When your Kindle Fire tablet’s screen won’t start or brighten up.

Resetting of the tablet is also necessary when after several tries of turning it on, the screen still fails to brighten up. According to experts, the possible reason for this glitch could be; the tablet’s battery was totally drained while the unit was left on the sleep or standby mode.

Resetting your Kindle Fire tablet when it freezes or gets stuck is pretty simple. Similar to how you force shutdown computers and other devices, you’ll just need to press and hold the Power On button for a couple of seconds. With the Kindle Fire and other Kindle tablets, you need to press and hold the button for a continuous period of not less than 20 seconds. This forces the turning-off of the tablet including all the processes, applications, and other programs running on the tablet. After force shutting it down, you can try powering it up again.

This Kindle Fire reset solution should solve the common problems of freezing or hanging up. But if your tablet and the screen won’t totally turn on or brighten up, your battery might have been totally drained. This is an example of the third scenario mentioned above.
